I adore this post as I do most of your writing and ways of seeing things. I love this Barbie and Ken thing, as well, and I'm so curious to hear more about this friend. In fact, her hobby is far more interesting to me at this moment than spiritual seeking or saving the world.
As a little girl, I used to make Barbie clothes with a sewing machine and by hand. I wish I had kept up with that - at least the sewing part. Sexism or objectification aside: I think Barbie is a great way for children to dive into imaginal realms, and that is often lost as we get older and have imagination beaten out of us.
Spiritual seeking is a blessing and a curse. It has to run its course. Once it's over, we are relieved and we can go back to enjoying Barbie and Ken.
I often shared in satsang talks that heavy hitter about no difference between the psychopath and the sage. Or, the king and the pawn are swept back into the same box at the end of the game. It's a wonderful seeing and takes a lot of wisdom to apprehend. As we know, this does not change the experiencing one has to endure in duality.
And, as you well know, I'm in total agreement regarding the toaster or the refrigerator and Ramesh's pointer there. Admittedly, I still am in deepening in my own embodied acceptance regarding being a finely tuned, sensitive Stradivarius and the difficulty of taking care of that precious object that screeches with any alignment issues. Not so many mirrors around on that. But I know there's nothing that can be done about it. Just the way I be!
Thanks for another great romp with wonderful wisdom therein.
Ha! Viva the thimble collectors....
“… animated by electricity…” snapped me awake 💜
Wonderful! I, too, love this pointer. Thanks for commenting!
